Work Environment

The Rehabilitation Center in Norfolk, Virginia provides a collaborative and nurturing environment where medical professionals thrive. As a full-time employee, you will work primarily onsite, enabling direct interactions with patients and colleagues. Your daily schedule will typically encompass Monday to Friday work hours, with occasional rotating shifts on weekends. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to determine their physical conditions and collaboratively develop individualized treatment plans aligned with physician orders.

• Implement targeted therapeutic interventions such as exercises, manual therapies, and modalities to improve strength, flexibility, and overall functional abilities.

• Maintain meticulous records, including patient care notes, treatment plans, and progress documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organizational protocols.

• Supervise the activities of Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and support personnel to enhance team performance and optimize patient outcomes.

• Engage with an interdisciplinary team, comprising physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists, to provide holistic care and assess treatment effectiveness.

• Provide ongoing education and support for patients and their families, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery journey.

• Identify and propose improvements within the treatment processes to enhance patient care and operational efficiency within the facility.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will serve at Guided Grace Therapy Center include individuals recovering from injuries, surgical procedures, and various orthopedic or neurological conditions. Each patient presents unique challenges and goals, requiring a personalized approach to therapy. As you work closely with these diverse populations, you will help facilitate improvements in mobility, strength, and independence, contributing positively to their overall health and well-being.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting is required.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and the healthcare team.

• Proficient with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and essential word processing software.

Preferred Experience

While 2 years is the minimum experience required, candidates with additional experience, particularly in outpatient rehabilitation settings, will find their qualifications even more suited to meet the dynamic needs of our patients. Previous experience mentoring or supervising PTAs is a plus, enhancing your ability to contribute to team performance and patient satisfaction.

Compensation and Benefits
