Work Environment\n

This remote position allows for a flexible work setting, enabling you to balance your professional responsibilities while delivering essential mental health support. The role's primary location will be within a community health clinic that values inclusive practices and the importance of cultural competence in mental health treatments. Your work schedule will generally be Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with the understanding that some flexibility may be necessary to cater to our patients’ varying needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, culturally sensitive mental health assessments to gain insights into each patient’s unique background and experiences, aiding in the development of tailored treatment plans.

• Implement therapeutic interventions based on evidence-based practices, ensuring that they reflect and respect the individual cultural backgrounds of the patients we serve.

• Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions designed to address mental health concerns and facilitate resilience and well-being. For example, you may lead a group session focusing on coping strategies for those dealing with anxiety in a multicultural context.

• Engage in collaboration with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other health professionals to ensure that patients receive coordinated and comprehensive care that addresses both their mental health and overall wellness.

• Offer immediate crisis intervention and emotional support in response to mental health emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients.

• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, what treatment options are available, and resources within the community that can support their healing journeys.

• Maintain detailed and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring that patient records are up-to-date and informative for ongoing care.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case conferences, and cultural competency training sessions to enhance your practice and build a strong, supportive team dynamic.

• Stay abreast of current research and best practices in mental health therapy, particularly those relevant to diverse populations.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Holding a current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Pennsylvania.

• A profound understanding of mental health disorders and a commitment to using culturally responsive treatment approaches.

• Experience providing individual and group therapy with proven skills in fostering an inclusive and engaging therapeutic environment.

• Strong crisis intervention capabilities and the composure to navigate high-stress situations effectively.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of building rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is highly beneficial.

• A commitment to maintaining professional boundaries, ethical guidelines, and ensuring confidentiality in all therapeutic interactions.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 104,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
