Key Responsibilities

As a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at Pedi Horizons Clinic, your primary duties will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments by recording patients' medical histories and symptoms to ensure accurate diagnoses.
• Performing comprehensive physical examinations and monitoring growth and development milestones of pediatric patients.
• Developing individualized patient care plans tailored to the specific needs of children, inclusive of preventive health strategies and necessary treatments.
• Ordering and analyzing diagnostic tests, interpreting results, and modifying treatment plans based on findings.
• Administering medications and treatments while closely monitoring patient responses to ensure optimal care outcomes.
• Providing education and support to parents regarding child health management, illness prevention, and health promotion strategies.
• Collaborating effectively with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals in multidisciplinary team meetings to enhance patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your focus will be on pediatric patients ranging from birth to 18 years, addressing their unique healthcare needs. This includes managing common pediatric illnesses such as asthma, allergies, gastrointestinal issues, and minor injuries, as well as providing guidance on preventive care practices. You will play a critical role in promoting health literacy among parents and guardians, empowering them with the knowledge needed to care for their children effectively.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's Degree in Nursing with a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner specialization or equivalent.
• An active and unrestricted Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) license within the state of Maryland.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in a clinical setting.
• Proven expertise in pediatric primary care models, including well-child care and the management of acute and chronic health conditions.

Preferred Experience

Preference will be given to candidates with:

• Experience working in a pediatric office or children's hospital environment.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from USD 100 to 116, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
