The role of Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at our clinic is predominantly remote, allowing for flexible work schedules that respect personal commitments while providing essential care. Our outpatient office facilitates in-person therapy sessions where therapists can engage with families and children directly. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individualized in-home therapy sessions, as well as group therapy sessions at our outpatient center, ensuring a tailored therapeutic experience for each client.

• Provide specialized interventions including anger management techniques, coping skills training, and social skills enhancement to mitigate high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behaviors (SIB) and physical aggression.
\n
• Facilitate effective decision-making strategies for both youth and caregivers, empowering them to address and manage behavioral challenges at home.
\n
• Collaborate closely and regularly with the Child Family Treatment Team and other interdisciplinary professionals to ensure that youth and their families receive cohesive and comprehensive support.
\n
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation including intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes to track client development and sustain treatment fidelity.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings to discuss progress, share insights, and recommend adjustments based on client feedback and observations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role centers on supporting children aged 3-20 who face developmental and intellectual disabilities. Our clients often require individualized attention and tailored strategies to thrive in their daily lives. Your role will involve understanding their unique needs, challenges, and strengths, creating an environment where healing and growth can occur. Through culturally responsive practices, especially for those speaking Spanish or Portuguese, you’ll play a pivotal role in bridging communication and engagement between caregivers and their children.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a closely related field is required.

• Possession of an active and unrestricted LMFT license is essential to practice in Colorado.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during critical after-school hours (4-7 pm), with additional flexibility on weekends considered an asset.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for travel to client homes or outpatient sessions.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Demonstrated experience in providing positive behavioral support, ideally within a therapeutic context.

• Previous work with children and adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities, showcasing an understanding of their unique therapeutic needs.

• Familiarity with documentation practices in mental health service delivery is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n
