Key Responsibilities As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your key responsibilities will include: Providing individual, family, and group therapy sessions tailored to meet the unique needs of clients, utilizing a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques. Conducting comprehensive initial assessments to understand each client's situation and identify their specific treatment needs. Developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized treatment plans that align with client goals and recovery pathways, ensuring regular follow-up to track therapeutic progress. Actively participating in interdisciplinary team meetings, exchanging insights with fellow professionals to create enriched treatment plans that address the complex interplay of mental health and substance use disorders. Patient Population / Client Focus Your work will primarily involve supporting individuals experiencing challenges related to substance abuse and concurrent mental health issues. Qualifications To qualify for this role, you must possess: A Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field from an accredited institution. A current, valid license in good standing as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). Dedication to meeting pre-employment conditions, which include passing annual tuberculosis screening, undergoing background checks (criminal and driving records), drug screening, and reference checks. Preferred Experience While not mandatory, candidates with experience in a community health or outpatient setting, particularly working with populations affected by substance abuse and mental health disorders, will be highly regarded. Familiarity with digital platforms for telehealth services, electronic health records, and treatment planning software will also be considered advantageous.
