You will enjoy a structured workweek from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, facilitating a work-life balance while still providing exemplary care to patients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough intake assessments and evaluations to understand the mental and emotional challenges faced by patients.

• Develop personalized and adaptive treatment plans in collaboration with patients, outlining specific strategies to address their unique trauma experiences and mental health needs.

• Facilitate individual therapy sessions focused on coping mechanisms for stress and trauma, guiding clients toward achieving their personal wellness goals.

• Monitor patient progress through regular follow-ups, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on their responses to therapy.

• Educate patients and associated staff on effective stress and trauma management techniques to enhance overall well-being.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including social and medical agencies, to ensure patients have access to comprehensive support services.

• Stay abreast of developments in the mental health field by completing continuing education and maintaining National Certified Counselor certification.

• Contribute to the mission of Horizon Care by addressing service gaps identified in the community for trauma patients, ensuring they receive the support they need.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on trauma injury patients, a demographic that requires specialized attention and understanding. Many clients may experience anxiety, depression, or post-traumatic stress disorder as a result of their traumatic experiences. Your expertise will help them navigate these challenges and foster resilience through effective coping strategies.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field is required.

• Current, valid Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) certification.

• A minimum of three years of direct experience working with trauma patients, evidencing a deep understanding of trauma-informed care.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and telehealth communication platforms.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, essential for client interactions and collaboration with healthcare providers.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
