Work Environment\n

This position provides the flexibility of remote work while maintaining essential connections to our outpatient facility. Your work schedule will primarily be Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional adjustments based on patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma history, ensuring the formulation of effective treatment plans.

• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans centered on trauma recovery and resilience-building to cater to each patient’s unique journey.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to support patients in processing their trauma.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients develop coping strategies, process traumatic experiences, and foster healing.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to provide integrated, patient-centered care.
\n
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patients feel safe and supported.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available community resources.
\n
• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in compliance with both legal and ethical standards, ensuring transparency and accuracy in patient records.

• Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities to enhance skills in trauma-informed care.

• Stay informed of the most current research and emergent best practices in trauma therapy to continually improve service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Mental Health Therapist at Wholeness Rediscovered, your primary focus will be on individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including those living with PTSD, complex trauma histories, and dissociative disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York is essential.

• Strong foundation in trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed care principles.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrated through a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• Ability to maintain composure and provide effective support in high-stress situations.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
