Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments, evaluating patient histories to inform treatment decisions and identifying suitable therapeutic approaches.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to facilitate trauma recovery, focusing on building resilience and coping strategies.

• Utilize evidence-based interventions like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to support patient healing.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients through processing their trauma and teaching essential coping mechanisms.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, healthcare providers, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate care and offer comprehensive support to clients.

• Provide crisis intervention services and emotional support during times of crisis related to trauma.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and recovery resources available within the community.

• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions, adhering to legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this position, you will primarily serve clients who have experienced various forms of trauma, including but not limited to survivors of abuse, neglect, and significant life events. Our patient population may present with a broad range of symptoms associated with PTSD, complex trauma, and related issues. A deep understanding of the complexities of trauma responses will be essential in providing optimal care and support.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
\n
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, preferably focused on trauma-informed care.

• Sound knowledge of trauma-related disorders as well as trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.

• Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations, providing crisis intervention as needed.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, coupled with strong computer skills.

• A collaborative spirit, eager to work within a multidisciplinary team framework.

Compensation and Benefits\n
