Work Environment

This position is onsite, and you will primarily work in clients' homes across Lehigh Acres and surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Encompass Rehabilitation Center, you will:

• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aimed at restoring muscle function, relieving pain, and preventing disabilities, all in accordance with physician-prescribed treatments.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure effective delivery of the care plan.
• Evaluate patients' functional abilities through diagnostic tests and assessments of muscle, nerve, and joint functions.
• Make recommendations for home modifications to enhance patient independence.
• Provide manual therapy techniques, instruct patients in exercises, and conduct rehabilitative treatments as needed.
• Document patient progress accurately and promptly, submitting clinical records including initial evaluations, care plans, and progress notes.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team during case conferences to evaluate and refine treatment plans in response to observed patient progress.
• Engage with patients and their families to educate them on therapy techniques and device usage.

The patients you will encounter typically include individuals recovering from surgery, injury, or chronic conditions that affect mobility and function. You will focus on developing personalized strategies that cater to the diverse needs of our clients within the comfort of their homes, ensuring they receive care tailored to their lifestyle and specific challenges.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) with a valid DPT license in the state of Florida.
• An empathetic approach to patient care with a commitment to achieving the best possible health outcomes.
• Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Strong ability to make decisions confidently and take responsibility.
• Proficiency in using clinical judgment to provide exceptional patient-centered care.
• Current CPR certification, a valid driver's license, and automobile insurance.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
