Work Environment

This role is predominantly onsite, requiring the Physical Therapist to provide services directly within the homes of patients. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' physical capacities and develop tailored treatment plans aimed at preventing disabilities, alleviating pain, and enhancing muscle function.
• Supervise and instruct Physical Therapy Assistants in implementing therapy treatments compliant with established care plans.
• Regularly assess clients using diagnostic tests to determine muscle and joint function, adapting interventions as necessary.
• Evaluate home environments to recommend modifications that promote independence and enhance rehabilitation outcomes for clients.
• Administer a wide range of therapeutic exercises, both manual and non-manual, to foster rehabilitation and functional mobility.
• Provide treatments involving various physical agents, including traction and massage, to support improved physical health.
• Collaborate in developing and revising comprehensive care plans while documenting clients' progress meticulously in clinical records.
• Engage clients and families in understanding the treatment methodologies and empower them to participate actively in their rehabilitation journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist will focus on a diverse clientele ranging from elderly patients recovering from surgeries to individuals with chronic conditions needing ongoing support. Many clients may experience mobility limitations; thus, your role is critical to improving their independence and overall well-being through tailored rehabilitation strategies.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A valid and current Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida.
• Current CPR certification.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license with automobile insurance.
• Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions in patient care.

Preferred Experience

• At least one year of experience as a Physical Therapist in a home care or acute care setting.
• Experience using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for patient documentation and care coordination.
