Our company is looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Strategy Directors in the development of annual Strategic and Financial Plans;
  • Deliberately build, foster, and maintain positive long-term business relationships;
  • Remote location will be considered;
  • Develop and execute win strategies for existing and emerging programs while driving sales and profit growth;
  • Identify business opportunities by prospecting and conducting research;
  • Share industry knowledge and unique ideas to help expand XE’s approach in adding value to our clients;
  • Representing Science Exchange at conferences and industry networking events;
  • Maintaining a “customer obsessed” mindset and framework; Delivering excellent customer service and satisfaction to all level of stakeholders;
  • Work with the Director of Sales to formulate sales strategy and enhance processes;
  • Manage the client’s experience to ensure consistent satisfaction;
  • Attend meetings with prospects and clients to educate them about yourself, the company, our offerings, and our solutions;
  • Design and give presentations to prospects and clients on market information, rates, company information, and proposed solutions;
  • Identify service/product improvements by monitoring industry trends and engaging in discussions with clients;
  • Managing and owning senior level relationships with enterprise, SMB and Mid Market clients within Science Exchange’s book of business;
  • Attend networking events regularly.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in structuring, influencing/negotiating, and managing complex commercial deals and/or acquisitions;
  • Bachelor’s in business or related field or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience;
  • Commitment to shared success in a collaborative team environment;
  • Fearless attitude, ability to find a creative solution to every problem, and a willingness to learn by doing;
  • Leadership skills in leading and working with cross functional teams and networking both internally and externally;
  • Prior experience in strategy development or business development is preferred;
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills; able to effectively communicate to executives in a Board room setting;
  • Adaptability and flexibility to changing priorities;
  • Expert in communicating the value of a product or service that has not existed before;
  • BS or MS in Business, Finance, Economics, or similar discipline;
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software;
  • Professional experience in a sales position;
  • Related professional experience in domestic logistics, international logistics, customs brokerage, procurement, or supply chain;
  • Internships will be considered as applicable experiences;
  • 10+ years of business development experience in the technology sector or similar industry.
