Physical Therapist - Therapy - Full-Time

Position Overview Active Motion and Movement Physical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and passionate Physical Therapist to join our orthopedic outpatient practice located in the heart of San Jose, California. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in helping patients regain mobility and achieve their peak physical performance. Your expertise will be pivotal in assessing patient needs, developing comprehensive treatment plans, and implementing effective rehabilitation strategies.

Our modern rehabilitation center features state-of-the-art equipment and spans an impressive 5,000 square feet, providing an invigorating environment for recovery. With a focus on patient-centric care, our team is committed to improving the lives of individuals who primarily have private medical insurance. As part of our staff, you will join a dynamic team of two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA), all working towards a common goal of advanced patient care.

This position is based onsite at our rehabilitation facility, fostering a collaborative and supportive atmosphere. The typical work schedule consists of Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a work-life balance that promotes both professional growth and personal well-being. Conduct thorough assessments of patients to establish their objectives and physical therapy needs.

Maintain a focused patient load of one individual per hour, ensuring high-quality, individualized care.

Administer innovative therapies aimed at improving patients' range of motion and overall mobility, effectively minimizing reliance on medications and surgical interventions.

Motivate and encourage patients throughout their recovery journey to help optimize outcomes and enhance functionality.

Foster improvements in strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination to guide patients towards healthier lifestyles.

Maintain accurate documentation of all services provided to patients, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to discuss patient progress and refine treatment strategies.

Evaluate treatment outcomes and monitor patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary based on ongoing assessments.

Our practice primarily serves individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic pain conditions. We aim to help each patient regain daily functional abilities and improve their quality of life through targeted physical therapy interventions. The unique blend of our patient demographic enables therapists to apply their skills in diverse and challenging scenarios, contributing to their ongoing professional development.

Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.

A valid Physical Therapist license in the state of California.

Proven proficiency in manual therapy techniques and rehabilitative practices.

Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT.

A strong background in orthopedic outpatient settings, highlighting hands-on experience with manual therapy and therapeutic exercises.

Ability to contribute ideas and collaborate on departmental initiatives focused on improving patient care and operational efficiency.
