Full Time Physiatrist Needed

Empower-Self Physical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and passionate Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Toms River, New Jersey. This full-time position is pivotal in guiding patients through their rehabilitation journey, focusing on restoring motion and improving their overall functionality. Founded with the mission to empower individuals to achieve their physical health goals, Empower-Self Physical Therapy operates from a 5,000 square foot state-of-the-art sports medicine facility in Toms River. As a practice owned by licensed physical therapists, we primarily serve clients with private medical insurance, ensuring that our approach remains patient-centered and evidence-based. Our team comprises highly trained professionals dedicated to fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.

The therapy provided takes place onsite in a well-equipped rehabilitation facility, offering a supportive, patient-focused atmosphere. This role provides a unique opportunity to work alongside two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), fostering teamwork and shared best practices in treatment delivery. Operating hours are Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, which promotes work-life balance while attending to our clients' needs.

Manage a patient caseload efficiently, typically treating one patient per hour to ensure personalized attention.

Educate patients on non-invasive alternatives to medication and surgery when applicable.

Develop individualized care plans using a mix of therapeutic techniques to meet defined patient outcomes.

Design and facilitate tailored fitness and wellness programs that align with patients' specific rehabilitation goals.

Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress notes leveraging EMR software, particularly WebPT.

Motivate and encourage patients throughout therapy sessions, fostering a positive environment that promotes their commitment to recovery.

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and holistic treatment approaches.

Our practice is primarily focused on orthopedic outpatient care, catering to individuals recovering from musculoskeletal conditions, sports-related injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic pain management. Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is a minimum educational requirement.

Current and valid physical therapy license in New Jersey.

Proven proficiency in manual therapy techniques relevant to orthopedic care.

Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT, is preferred.

Previous work experience in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly valued.
