Physiatrist in Rehabilitation Medicine

Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Licensed Physical Therapist to join our team at C.A.R.E Physical Therapy, PLLC. This full-time position focuses on delivering exceptional outpatient services in our rehabilitation facility located in Old Bridge, New Jersey. The primary responsibility of this role is to assist patients in restoring motion, enhancing mobility, and improving overall quality of life through personalized therapeutic interventions.

Work Environment

The selected candidate will work primarily onsite in our modern rehabilitation facility, equipped with cutting-edge technology and resources. Our facility features dedicated treatment areas designed for personalized attention and rehabilitation exercises. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, facilitating a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the specific needs and rehabilitation goals of each patient.

Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate patients' physical capabilities and limitations, documenting findings meticulously.

Employ a variety of therapeutic modalities, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercises, to improve function and mobility.

Monitor and adjust treatment strategies based on ongoing evaluations, ensuring effective progress towards recovery.

Educate patients and their families about injury prevention, home exercise programs, and the importance of a healthy lifestyle.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including occupational therapists, physicians, and nursing staff to promote comprehensive patient care.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with clinic policies and regulatory requirements using EMR systems like WebPT.

Facilitate workshops and educational sessions to promote wellness and physical health in the community.

Offer motivation and support to patients, fostering a positive therapeutic relationship that encourages adherence to treatment plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, sports-related ailments, neurological conditions, and post-surgical recoveries. Our approach emphasizes non-surgical treatment options to enhance mobility and independence while minimizing reliance on medication.

Qualifications

A completed Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.

An active Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey, with no history of sanctions or board proceedings.

Demonstrated proficiency in various manual therapy techniques and protocols.

Ability to create and implement targeted exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.

Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR), particularly WebPT, for effective documentation and patient management.

Strong foundation in contemporary physical therapy practices, underpinned by a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of 2 years of prior experience working in an outpatient physical therapy setting.

Experience in sports medicine and rehabilitation is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary range for this position is between $60,000 and $104,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
