Assess, evaluate, and direct treatment for orthopedic patients, focusing on relieving pain, enhancing recovery, and preventing disability.

Collaborate with physical therapy assistants to implement individualized treatment plans while ensuring quality care and compliance with best practices.

Engage in the rehabilitation process by designing and administering therapeutic exercises, and motivational support for patients during their recovery.

Evaluate home environments to optimize rehabilitation, advising on adaptations, and recommending necessary aids to boost patient independence.

Document patient progress, including preparation of clinical records such as initial evaluations, OASIS documentation, and discharge summaries.

Provide patient education, discussing the use and maintenance of therapeutic devices and ensuring family involvement in the therapy process.

Supervise and support Physical Therapy Assistants in delivering certain phases of physical therapy services as required by state law.

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at White River PT Services, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgery, injury, or chronic pain conditions. Our diverse patient demographic includes individuals of all ages, each requiring tailored interventions to restore function and improve quality of life. Your expertise will be crucial in delivering compassionate care and fostering motivation during their rehabilitation journey.

Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.

Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Current CPR certification, highlighting your commitment to patient safety and emergency preparedness.

Ability to work collaboratively and adaptively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team, ensuring the best patient outcomes.

Creative problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to navigate complex patient cases.

While all applicants are encouraged to apply, we prefer candidates with at least one year of experience in an acute care or home care setting. Experience with orthopedic cases and familiarity with current federal, state, and governing agency regulations will be considered an asset.
