You will join a team that currently includes two experienced physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant, all dedicated to improving patient outcomes through collaborative practice.

Work Environment

This role is based onsite in our well-equipped Rehabilitation Center situated in the heart of Mc Lean, Virginia. Our practice is characterized by a supportive and enthusiastic atmosphere that encourages professional growth and collaboration. You will work Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, ensuring a healthy work-life balance while being integrally involved in patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine patients' goals and needs, establishing a clear pathway towards rehabilitation.
• Manage a patient load of 2-3 individuals per hour, allowing for in-depth and personalized care.
• Create cost-effective and individualized treatment plans, employing a variety of methodologies to enhance patients' mobility and overall functionality.
• Implement therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques, always focusing on the reduction of pain and improvement of conditions.
• Monitor and document patients' progress meticulously, ensuring accurate reporting and communication with the healthcare team.
• Encourage and motivate patients during their sessions, helping them achieve their rehabilitation and wellness objectives.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and improved outcomes.
• Develop and propose fitness and wellness programs tailored to individual needs, promoting long-term health benefits.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily focus on patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions. Your role will involve devising strategies to efficiently restore function, alleviate pain, and enhance patients' overall quality of life. Your skills will allow you to assist a diverse population, from athletes seeking quick recovery to older adults requiring specialized therapy.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Degree from an accredited institution.
• Current Virginia Physical Therapist License, with no disciplinary actions recorded.
• Demonstrable proficiency in manual therapy and exercise techniques.
• Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience working specifically in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development, including workshops, certifications, or training relevant to physical therapy.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is between USD 100,000 and USD 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
