Work Environment\n

This role will primarily be performed remotely, ensuring flexibility while also encouraging collaboration through virtual platforms. The schedule requires availability from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening hours based on patient needs for therapy. By utilizing teletherapy, you will have the opportunity to connect with young patients in their comfort zones while ensuring access to needed services.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth mental health assessments to evaluate the emotional, social, and behavioral needs of children and adolescents.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices tailored to each patient’s developmental stage and family dynamics.

• Provide therapeutic interventions by utilizing techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy and family systems therapy to address various mental health issues.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions, ensuring parents and caregivers are equipped to foster a supportive home environment for their children.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals through regular meetings to enhance the care continuum for patients.

• Deliver crisis intervention support for patients experiencing acute mental health challenges, ensuring timely and effective response.

• Educate clients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources, enhancing their overall understanding and engagement in the treatment process.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation of patient interactions, adhering to all legal and ethical guidelines.

• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing insights to case discussions and staying informed on best practices and new research in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on children and adolescents facing mental health challenges, with a particular emphasis on issues such as anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and attention-related conditions. By engaging with patients at crucial developmental stages, the therapist will play a vital role in building resilience and promoting long-term mental wellness for the youngest members of our community.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.

• A solid understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, alongside proficiency in a range of therapeutic modalities.

• Proven experience providing individual and family therapy to young individuals.
\n
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to connect with children and adolescents.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is preferred, along with general computer literacy.

• Proactive and collaborative spirit, with the ability to work seamlessly within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of direct experience in mental health therapy focused on child and adolescent populations is highly desirable.

• Familiarity or certification in trauma-informed care can enhance the therapist's effectiveness within this role.

• Prior experience in a remote work setting, managing patient care via telehealth services.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this role ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience.
