As a remote position, this role offers flexibility while maintaining a collaborative approach with team members. Although primarily remote, occasional in-person meetings may take place, enhancing team cohesion and communication.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to understand the specific needs of children and adolescents seeking therapy.

• Develop and implement evidence-based, individualized treatment plans that consider the developmental stages, family dynamics, and the unique emotional circumstances of each patient.

• Provide various therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy, and family therapy, to effectively address concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Deliver family therapy sessions, helping parents and caregivers create a supportive home environment conducive to the mental health and well-being of their children.

• Collaborate closely with child psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to provide coordinated, holistic care.
\n
• Offer crisis intervention during mental health emergencies to ensure immediate support for patients and their families.
\n
• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources, fostering empowerment and understanding.

• Document patient progress and treatment plans accurately and confidentially in alignment with legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

• Stay current on research, best practices, and advancements in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry to inform treatment approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is on children and adolescents aged 5-18 years, who may present with a variety of mental health challenges. Patients often include those experiencing anxiety disorders, depression, attention- deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and other behavioral issues. The therapist will utilize a child-centered approach, ensuring that the therapeutic interventions are appropriate for each child’s developmental level and family context.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Nevada.
\n
• Sound clinical knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, therapeutic modalities, and best practices for treating young individuals.

• Experience conducting individual and family therapy with children and adolescents in a mental health setting.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by empathy, patience, and a child-centered focus.
\n
• Proficient in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and adept with various computer applications related to patient management.
\n
• A capacity to work as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving the lives of young patients.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of experience in a mental health counseling role, specifically with children and families.

• Familiarity with telehealth practices and remote therapy modalities.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
