Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility, designed to accommodate a diverse patient demographic. The facility operates on a flexible schedule, with expected weekly hours of 40, including variable weekends.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Atrium Physical Therapy, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations and assessments of patients with various functional limitations and disabilities to develop tailored treatment plans.
• Providing expert consultation to other healthcare providers to ensure an integrated approach to each patient's continuum of care.
• Documenting treatments accurately in compliance with all regulatory and professional standards, including the submission of service charges.
• Implementing and adapting treatment plans based on patient progress, using evidence-based methods and techniques.
• Educating patients and their families on treatment protocols, rehabilitation goals, and self-management strategies.
• Maintaining consistent communication with referral sources and interdisciplinary team members regarding patient care updates and progress.
• Participating in leadership functions that include community outreach, quality improvement initiatives, and program development to enhance service offerings.
• Engaging in ongoing professional development through in-services and continuing education opportunities, as well as attending regular staff meetings to promote team growth and collaboration.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with orthopedic patients ranging from post-surgical recovery to individuals managing chronic pain and mobility issues. Our patient population reflects a high level of diversity, necessitating an emphasis on culturally competent care. Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Valid State License in Physical Therapy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from a recognized provider.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, necessary for effective patient interaction and documentation.
• Proficient computer skills, including experience with word processing software and electronic health record systems.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting is required, candidates with specialized training in orthopedic rehabilitation, experience in community health, or leadership roles will be given preference.
