The Sensation Movement Rehab and Recovery Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pain Management Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Newark, New Jersey. Work Environment

As a Pain Management Nurse Practitioner, you will primarily work onsite in a school environment. This unique setting allows for interaction with students and their families, promoting health education and awareness within the community. Your work schedule will typically range from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with occasional evening clinics extending until 8:00 p.m. Additional participation in community outreach events or health fairs during weekends may be required as part of our commitment to health promotion.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive health assessments and screenings for patients of all ages, ensuring their immediate and long-term healthcare needs are met.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions related to pain management, including conditions like fibromyalgia, arthritis, and other musculoskeletal disorders.
• Implement preventive care measures, focusing on health promotion and disease prevention through educational initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with community organizations and stakeholders to develop and implement tailored health education programs that resonate with diverse populations.
• Provide culturally sensitive care while advocating for patients' rights and facilitating their access to necessary healthcare services.
• Coordinate referrals and ensure effective follow-up care to maintain continuity and quality of care.
• Document all patient interactions meticulously, maintaining accurate medical records in compliance with all regulatory standards.
• Participate actively in community outreach activities, including health fairs, to promote community health awareness and provide essential health screenings.
• Stay informed about current community health trends, research, and evidence-based practices to enhance patient care and inform health policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on underserved populations within the community, including children, adolescents, and their families. You will be addressing various pain management needs, providing care to individuals facing socioeconomic challenges and limited access to healthcare resources. Your ability to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds will be crucial in fostering trust and delivering effective care.

Qualifications

• Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner is required.
• An active state nursing license in New Jersey is essential.
• A Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution is mandatory.
• A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, with a preference for candidates with a background in community health, pain management, or public health settings.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are necessary, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse client demographic.
• A strong commitment to social justice, health equity, and advocacy for vulnerable communities is vital for success in this role.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in pain management practices and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to streamline patient management processes.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 120,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with your experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:
