Work Environment

The Pain Management Nurse Practitioner will operate in a concierge medicine setting, focusing on personalized care through house calls and onsite consultations. Our practice emphasizes flexibility and responsiveness to patients’ needs, providing care in a comfortable environment. You will work alongside an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals committed to collaboration and continuous improvement, with an average workweek of approximately 40 hours.

Your typical schedule will include hours from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with opportunities for evening clinics until 8:00 p.m. Additionally, participation in community health events and health fairs during weekends will be encouraged to expand our reach and foster long-lasting community connections.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough health assessments, including complete medical histories and physical examinations, to tailor pain management strategies for each patient.
• Diagnose and manage a variety of acute and chronic pain conditions, implementing evidence-based practices in pain relief and rehabilitation.
• Engage with patients to create individualized care plans that encompass preventive measures, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications aimed at improving overall health.
• Work closely with local healthcare organizations to develop and implement community health education initiatives, ensuring patients are well-informed about pain management options.
• Provide culturally sensitive care that respects diverse backgrounds, advocating for patients' rights and access to comprehensive healthcare services.
• Coordinate referrals and manage follow-up care, working to ensure continuity and consistency in treatment plans across healthcare providers.
• Maintain detailed documentation and accurate medical records in compliance with industry regulations and organizational standards.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends in pain management and community health, actively integrating new findings into practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves individuals experiencing pain conditions, including but not limited to those stemming from chronic illnesses, injuries, and post-surgical recovery. The Nurse Practitioner will interact with a diverse patient population, encompassing various socioeconomic backgrounds. A focus on holistic care means considering each patient's social determinants of health and employing strategies that promote wellness beyond the clinic.

Qualifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner certification and an active state nursing license in New Jersey.
• A Master's degree in nursing from an accredited institution, demonstrating advanced knowledge and skills pertinent to nursing practice.
• A minimum of three years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner, with specific training in pain management or related fields.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with strong ability to connect with and provide care for diverse populations.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
