Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive preliminary interviews and document client cases from initial assessment through discharge, ensuring continuity of care and relevance of treatment.

• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health through both structured assessments and therapeutic conversations to develop personalized intervention and recovery plans.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, adapting therapeutic techniques to suit diverse client needs and preferences.

• Track client progress throughout their treatment journey and modify intervention plans as necessary, based on ongoing assessments and collective feedback.

• Collaborate on intervention strategies with a range of mental health specialists, including doctors and social workers, to provide holistic care.

• Coordinate with psychiatrists and other medical professionals for clients who require hospitalization, ensuring seamless communication and follow-up.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement proactive strategies to mitigate those challenges, enhancing the overall treatment experience.

• Provide guidance and resources to family members and primary caregivers, empowering them to support their loved ones through mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our counselors will engage with a diverse array of clients, including individuals, couples, and families experiencing various mental health conditions. You will work with clients facing difficulties such as anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction disorders, and more. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York State.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in a mental health counseling role, demonstrating strong clinical insight and client engagement.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems, such as AVATAR, for documentation and treatment planning.

• Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and knowledge of the impact of medication on mental health.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to present complex information clearly and empathetically.

• Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate and client-focused approach to therapy.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, complemented by a generous sign-on bonus.
