The Hackensack Mental Healthcare Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to provide mental health support primarily through remote telehealth sessions. This position is primarily remote, allowing you to deliver vital mental health services from the comfort of your own space while also occasionally interacting in our outpatient office setting for team meetings and collaborative care discussions. • Manage a diverse caseload, establishing rapport with clients and maintaining professional boundaries and ethical standards.
• Conduct regular sessions with clients to monitor their progress, discuss upcoming appointments, and facilitate appropriate discharge planning as necessary.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to individual client needs and regularly review these plans to ensure effectiveness.
• Perform thorough intake assessments to evaluate clients' mental health status and needs.
• Maintain meticulous documentation and progress notes for all client interactions, ensuring compliance with appropriate medical standards.
• Engage in individual supervision and participate actively in collaborative care approaches with other healthcare providers to enhance client outcomes.

Our ideal candidate will primarily focus on youth and young adult populations, addressing a variety of mental health challenges. Clients may present with mood disorders, anxiety, trauma histories, behavioral concerns, and other complexities. The clinician will play a crucial role in helping clients develop coping strategies and resiliency.

• Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field and current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
• Proven ability to meet internal credentialing requirements in clinical settings.
• A minimum of one year of relevant experience in working with psychiatric patients and/or substance abuse populations.
• Demonstrable experience in assessment, diagnosis, and conducting both individual and group therapy sessions.
• Proficient computer skills, including basic keyboarding abilities and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR).

• Experience working with adolescent mental health issues would be a distinct asset.
• Previous involvement in interdisciplinary teams or therapeutic settings that emphasize holistic care.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices in mental health treatment.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 to $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include:
