Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients.

• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their individual needs, goals, and preferences.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to each client’s circumstances.

• Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care techniques.

• Monitor client progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on evolving needs and feedback.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and holistic care for clients.

• Stay informed about the latest developments in mood disorder research to enhance treatment methodologies.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on individuals experiencing mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Our clientele also includes vulnerable groups such as refugees, individuals experiencing homelessness, and survivors of domestic abuse. As an LMFT, your role will be pivotal in empowering clients to navigate their challenges and foster hope on their journey to recovery.

• Must possess a current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
