Work Environment

The role will be performed onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center in Alexandria. The work schedule typically runs Monday to Friday, with flexible time options between 7 am - 3 pm or 8 am - 4 pm. Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Bayberry, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Designing and implementing customized treatment plans by collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and using evidence-based practices.
• Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients to identify their strengths and challenges contributing to their rehabilitation goals.
• Providing ongoing education and support to patients and their families, emphasizing the importance of therapy in recovery and enhancing engagement.
• Leading educational sessions and in-service training within the facility to create greater awareness of therapeutic services and capabilities.
• Participating actively in Care Plan Meetings, offering professional insights and detailed progress updates for each patient.
• Maintaining accurate daily clinical documentation that meets regulatory standards and supports patient care.
• Working alongside a supervising Physical Therapist to ensure adherence to best practices and to optimize clinical outcomes across cases.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses primarily on patients in a skilled nursing facility setting, including individuals recovering from surgery, trauma, or neurological conditions. You will be tasked with developing targeted interventions for diverse populations, which may require unique strategies to cater to age, health status, and personal recovery goals.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must possess:

• A valid Physical Therapy (PT) license in good standing within the state of Virginia.
• A Bachelor's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current CPR certification overseeing emergency response capabilities.
• A valid driver's license and automobile insurance to facilitate potential travel as required.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively engage with patients and their families, enhancing therapeutic relationships.
• A focus on maintaining clinical excellence, demonstrating integrity, and striving for continuous professional development.

Preferred Experience
