Key Responsibilities

As a physical therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting initial assessments of patients' physical conditions, documenting symptoms and concerns.
• Diagnosing movement dysfunction through comprehensive evaluations and designing targeted treatment plans.
• Implementing therapeutic exercise techniques, instructing patients on proper utilization for maximum benefit.
• administering manual therapy, including massage and stimulation, to facilitate healing processes.
• Assisting patients in adapting to mobility aids like walkers or wheelchairs, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, tracking progress toward rehabilitation goals.
• Providing guidance and educational resources to patients and families about at-home exercises and self-management techniques.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Valid state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.

• Proficiency with word processing and basic computer applications, as electronic record-keeping is essential.

Preferred Experience

While the position requires a minimum of two years of direct experience in a physical therapy setting, candidates who have previously worked in rehabilitation facilities or with similar patient populations will be highly regarded. Compensation and Benefits
