The Wellness Support Center is seeking a dedicated and qualified Remote Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team. This position is a remote role, facilitating flexibility and allowing you to provide therapy in the comfort of your home or community settings. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals who share the common goal of improving client outcomes. Working from a platform that supports electronic health records, you will have the tools necessary to document patient progress efficiently and meet all healthcare standards.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individualized in-home therapy sessions or group therapy sessions to address the unique needs of each child and family.

• Employ evidence-based practices to provide therapeutic interventions aimed at managing anger, enhancing coping mechanisms, and developing essential social skills.
\n
• Utilize your expertise in behavior management to identify and reduce high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) or physical aggression.
\n
• Improve decision-making skills among youth and caretakers through tailored support strategies that address behavioral challenges encountered in the home setting.
\n
• Participate in regular collaboration with the Child Family Treatment Team as well as other professionals supporting youth and families to ensure a coordinated approach to care.
\n
• Maintain accurate documentation, including treatment plans and progress notes, submitted within designated time frames to ensure compliance and quality care.
\n
• Attend monthly team meetings to share insights, progress, and recommendations for ongoing treatment adjustments.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The kids and teens you will serve primarily range from ages 3 to 20, encompassing a diverse group of individuals with various developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. Your compassionate, tailored interventions will focus on empowering these youths and their families, helping them navigate life's complexities and fostering resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or related field is mandatory.

• An active, unrestricted LMFT license in the state of Florida is essential.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours from 4 PM to 7 PM; flexibility on weekends is a plus.

• Strong background in providing positive behavior support strategies.
\n
• This position requires a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle for potential community visits.
\n
• A successful completion of a criminal background check, inclusive of fingerprinting, is required.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with children and adolescents who have intellectual or developmental disabilities is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with telehealth practices and technology is a valuable asset.

• Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese will enhance your ability to connect with a broader clientele.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive annual salary range between USD 60,000 and 80,000, based on experience and qualifications.
