Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, either in-home or via virtual platforms, tailored to the needs of the youth and family.

• Deliver evidence-based approaches to therapy, focusing on improving coping mechanisms, anger management, and social skills.

• Provide targeted behavioral support to reduce high-risk behaviors associated with developmental and intellectual challenges.
\n
• Collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team, including mental health professionals, educators, and social workers, to develop a comprehensive care plan for each child.

• Ensure timely and thorough documentation of therapy sessions, treatment plans, and progress notes, maintaining compliance with clinic protocols.

• Participate in monthly team meetings to contribute to process improvements and provide updates on client progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily serves children between the ages of 3 and 20 who face various developmental and intellectual disabilities. Therapists will engage with a diverse array of youth, addressing unique emotional and behavioral needs through culturally sensitive approaches. Your expertise in bilingual therapy will enhance accessibility for Spanish or Portuguese-speaking families, creating meaningful connections and fostering a supportive environment for healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

• A valid and unrestricted LMFT license in the state of Texas.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours each week during after-school hours (4-7 PM), with weekend flexibility a plus.

• Strong skills in behavioral assessment and intervention strategies.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with children aged 3-20, particularly those with intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD).

• Prior experience providing positive behavior support in clinical or community settings.
\n
• Knowledge of effective therapeutic frameworks and interventions.

• Proficiency in bilingual therapy, particularly in Spanish or Portuguese.

• A current driver’s license and a reliable vehicle are required for in-home therapy sessions.

• Candidates must pass a comprehensive criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
