Bon Secours Therapy Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist (PT) to join our innovative team. Located in Oakland, California, Bon Secours Therapy Center is a state-of-the-art outpatient facility specializing in orthopedic care. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality rehabilitation services in a supportive environment. Our practice is owned by physical therapists and predominantly serves patients with private medical insurance. Our expansive 5000-square-foot space includes advanced sports medicine equipment, enabling us to provide cutting-edge therapies to our community.

Work Environment

The position is onsite within a home care setting, allowing you to make a significant impact on patients' lives through individualized therapy sessions. You will work closely with a small team comprised of two physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA), dedicated to fostering a collaborative and positive environment. Our standard operating hours are Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., providing a structured work schedule that promotes work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' goals, needs, and physical conditions.
• Manage a manageable caseload, providing one-on-one treatment sessions to each patient every hour.
• Develop and implement customized treatment plans that optimize mobility and functionality.
• Utilize cost-effective therapeutic techniques to enhance patients' range of motion while reducing dependency on medications and the necessity for surgical interventions.
• Design tailored fitness and wellness programs that align with each patient's unique rehabilitation goals.
• Monitor treatment outcomes and progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal results.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and support to patients.
• Encourage patients' motivation and engagement in their treatment plans to foster a proactive approach to their health and well-being.
• Promote healthy lifestyle choices by improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination among patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary patient population consists of individuals facing orthopedic challenges, ranging from post-surgical recovery to sports-related injuries. We emphasize patient-centered care, understanding that each patient's journey is unique. Your ability to connect with patients and provide empathetic support will be crucial in helping them achieve their rehabilitation goals. Our practice's focus on individual care ensures that treatment plans are tailored to the specific needs and conditions of each client.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation is required.
• A valid California state license as a Physical Therapist.
• A clean professional record, free from disciplinary actions related to your license.
• Strong expertise in manual therapy techniques and the development of exercise protocols.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) software, specifically WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Experience implementing evidence-based interventions that yield positive patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, along with comprehensive benefits that include health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
