Active Motion Physical Therapy Services is seeking a dedicated and passionate Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Oakland, California. Our 5,000 square foot state-of-the-art sports medicine facility is equipped with the latest therapeutic equipment and technology, allowing us to deliver high-quality care. We pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence, focusing on individualized treatment plans catered primarily to patients with private medical insurance. Our skilled team currently includes two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), all of whom share a common goal: to help patients regain their strength and functionality.

Work Environment

This position is onsite in our rehabilitation facility located in Oakland, California, where you will work collaboratively with a supportive team that values innovation and enhances patient care. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, fostering a balanced work-life schedule and providing a stable environment to deliver consistent patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patient needs, goals, and objectives in a healthcare setting.
• Manage a caseload efficiently, typically handling one patient per hour, ensuring quality, personalized care for each individual.
• Develop comprehensive and evidence-based treatment plans utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manipulation, exercise regimens, and manual therapy.
• Guide and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, optimizing their functional abilities and encouraging adherence to treatment protocols.
• Monitor and evaluate the effects of treatments, documenting progress, adjustments to therapies, and outcomes clearly and accurately.
• Promote a healthy lifestyle by educating patients on exercise, nutrition, and self-care techniques that enhance strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Maintain open lines of communication with patients, families, and fellow healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
• Minimize the reliance on medications by providing cost-effective alternative solutions to surgical interventions whenever possible.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required to qualify for this role.
• Current certification as a licensed Physical Therapist in California is essential.
• Candidates must have a clean professional record, free from any disciplinary actions or board actions.
• Strong proficiency in evidence-based manual therapy techniques and developing client-centered exercise programs.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly preferred, showcasing the ability to navigate similar patient scenarios.
• Demonstrated proficiency in using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT or similar platforms, is advantageous.
• A solid background in sports medicine and familiarity with sports-related rehabilitation is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary in the range of USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
