This full-time remote role will allow you to conduct vital therapeutic work with clients managing trauma and other challenges from the comfort of your home. You will play a critical role in providing high-quality, accessible mental health services to our diverse client population.

This position operates entirely in a telehealth setting. Our open hours from 7 AM to 10 PM, seven days a week, provide flexibility for both clients and staff. Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand clients' histories and tailor appropriate treatment strategies.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans focusing on trauma recovery, resilience building, and overall mental wellness.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to address clients' needs.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to aid clients in processing their trauma, developing coping mechanisms, and promoting healing.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic and integrated care for all clients.
\n
• Respond to crisis situations promptly, providing immediate support to clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate clients and families on trauma responses and coping strategies, while connecting them with available resources.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in ongoing professional development, participate in team meetings, and contribute to case consultations focused on trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay informed about the latest advancements in trauma therapy to continually enhance your practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals and families affected by trauma and a variety of related mental health issues. Our diverse clientele ranges across age groups and backgrounds, allowing for rich therapeutic interactions and community engagement. The role requires a genuine understanding of trauma responses and resilience, fostering an empathetic and validating environment for clients.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for this position, you must hold a master’s or doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field from an accredited institution. Additionally, you must possess a current and valid LCPC license in the state of Illinois.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with at least two years of post-licensure experience are preferred. A strong foundation in understanding trauma-related disorders, and proficiency in trauma-focused therapeutic approaches will greatly enhance your effectiveness in this role. Excellent communication skills, a collaborative spirit, and the capacity to handle high-stress situations are essential attributes for successful counselors.
