Work Environment

Located in the vibrant community of Sanford, our outpatient office boasts state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment and a welcoming atmosphere designed for successful patient outcomes. Our team members enjoy a structured work schedule, operating from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, allowing a balanced approach to work and personal life. Key Responsibilities

• Assessing and evaluating patients through comprehensive examinations, including reviewing their medical histories and conducting functional assessments.
• Developing personalized treatment plans based on individual evaluations, addressing specific functional limitations and disabilities.
• Implementing treatment protocols effectively, adapting approaches in response to patient progress and needs.
• Consulting with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and address any changes in patients' conditions, ensuring a collaborative treatment approach.
• Carrying out thorough discharge planning and documenting patient progress accurately, including evaluations, daily notes, and interim summaries to comply with healthcare standards.
• Remaining compliant with state, local, and federal regulations while maintaining all required training and certifications.
• Participating actively in facility meetings and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
• Engaging in initiatives aimed at removing barriers to access and improving patient care efficiency.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily entails working with patients facing orthopedic challenges, including those recovering from surgery, injury, or chronic conditions affecting mobility and function. You will help guide them through therapeutic exercises, functional training, and education, ultimately striving for improved mobility and enhanced quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited physical therapy program.
• Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) from the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• A minimum of two years of outpatient orthopedic experience, demonstrating proficiency in orthopedic evaluations and modalities.
• Current CPR certification to ensure the highest level of care is provided.

Preferred Experience

Experience in specialized orthopedic rehabilitation techniques, familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR), and a commitment to continuing education are highly valued.
