Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for students with varying degrees of special needs, evaluating emotional and behavioral challenges.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s specific requirements, focusing on enhancing emotional well-being and promoting successful integration within the school setting.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions for conditions related to ASD, ADHD, and trauma to facilitate improved mental health outcomes.

• Deliver individual and group therapy sessions that aim to cultivate personal growth and effective coping mechanisms.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including educators and other health professionals, to provide a holistic support system for students.

• Provide crisis intervention in urgent mental health situations, ensuring immediate and effective support for students in distress.

• Educate students and families regarding mental health disorders, helping them understand available resources and support systems.

• Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of assessments and treatment plans adhering to legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in team meetings and case conferences regularly to discuss student progress and share insights.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on students facing challenges related to autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, ADHD, and other emotional and behavioral health issues. Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid LCSW licensure in the state of Connecticut.

Compensation and Benefits\n
