Work Environment

This full-time position is onsite at our Clearwater-based Rehabilitation Center, where a collaborative and supportive atmosphere prevails. You will engage with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals dedicated to providing holistic care. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' physical abilities, develop individualized treatment plans based on best practices, and adjust these plans as necessary to ensure optimal patient progress.
• Document determinations and generate clinical reports to identify patterns for improvement among provider treatments, aiming to enhance the educational opportunities for colleagues.
• Engage in Peer to Peer Consultations, providing guidance to other therapists whenever a plan of care raises questions regarding clinical appropriateness prior to submission for administrative review.
• Review physical therapy service requests promptly while evaluating the associated clinical information including diagnosis, evaluations, plans of care, and standardized assessment tests.
• Make clinical decisions regarding the medical necessity of services, evaluating treatment intensity, frequency, and appropriateness in alignment with national clinical guidelines and established Utilization Management protocols.
• Manage a minimal paperwork load, allowing for a higher focus on patient care and maximizing your interaction and scheduling flexibility with clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse patient population, encompassing individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgical procedures, chronic pain conditions, and neurological impairments. Your adaptability in treating both pediatric and adult clients in both outpatient and acute care settings will be paramount in addressing their unique needs and therapeutic goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• An active license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
• Extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology, ensuring the application of evidence-based treatments.
• Competency in trigger point therapy techniques and in providing inpatient care.
• Proficiency in engaging with varied demographics, including pediatric patients, while navigating diverse treatment settings.
• Commitment to compliance with all established clinical guidelines and personnel policies.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in both outpatient and acute care environments, enhancing your skill set to adapt to various patient needs effectively.
• Familiarity with hospital medicine practices and protocols will give you a distinct advantage in managing complex cases.
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive salary range of USD 120,000 – 130,000 annually, reflective of experience and expertise.
