Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and assistive tools to enhance mobility and reduce pain.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously, adapting treatment plans based on ongoing assessments and feedback.
• Educate patients and their families on self-management strategies and proper techniques for using assistive devices to promote independence.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment sessions consistently to ensure compliance with medical standards and facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Engage in professional development through attending workshops and training sessions to stay current with best practices in physical therapy.
• Participate in mentorship programs for new graduates, sharing your expertise and experience with those entering the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your focus will encompass a diverse patient population, including children and adults, who require rehabilitation for various conditions—ranging from orthopedic and neurological disorders to post-operative recovery. Your role is pivotal in enhancing patients' quality of life through personalized therapy plans that address their unique needs and goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, with a Doctorate (DPT) preferred.
• Must hold a valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively share complex information with patients and families.
• Proficient in computer skills and familiar with electronic medical record systems.
• A flexible and adaptable approach to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Continuous desire to learn and grow within the physical therapy field.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in a clinical or rehabilitation setting.
• Experience with various therapy modalities and techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and neuromuscular re-education.
• Prior experience in a multidisciplinary team environment is highly regarded.
