Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate each patient's unique trauma history and present mental health needs.

• Develop and execute individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery, resilience-building, and coping strategy development.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, utilizing techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, encouraging patients to process their trauma and fostering a sense of community.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care.

• Offer crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring the immediate safety and emotional stability of our clients.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, available resources, and effective coping mechanisms.

• Maintain thorough, confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role involves assisting clients who are survivors of trauma. Our patient population includes individuals coping with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. With our commitment to creating a safe and therapeutic environment, you will play a fundamental role in guiding clients through their recovery process while helping them build resilience and coping skills.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.

• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, preferably focused on trauma care.

• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed care principles, and various therapeutic techniques.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, displaying compassion and a non-judgmental attitude.

• Ability to maintain composure and provide effective support during high-stress situations.

• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficient in digital tools relevant to the profession.

Preferred Experience\n

In addition to the required qualifications, preferred candidates will have a track record of successfully delivering trauma-focused therapies. Experience in group therapy facilitation and crisis intervention will be highly regarded.
