Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mental health and substance use concerns, identifying the presence of co-occurring disorders through various standardized tools and interviews.

• Collaborate on developing personalized treatment plans tailored to each client's mental health and substance use needs, incorporating evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at empowering clients with coping skills, emotional regulation techniques, and relapse prevention strategies to support their recovery journey.

• Coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team, actively participating in treatment planning discussions, case conferences, and care adjustments to provide comprehensive, integrated support.

• Implement regular substance use monitoring and employ motivational interviewing techniques as part of the treatment process to encourage client engagement and adherence to therapies.

• Educate clients and their families about the relationship between mental health and substance use disorders, emphasizing the importance of treatment compliance and ongoing support.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatment progress, interventions, and referrals, adhering strictly to ethical and legal guidelines.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based therapies, especially those designed for co-occurring disorders, such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• Strong understanding of the dynamics between mental health and substance use disorders, along with an ability to apply this knowledge in clinical settings.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate collaboration with interdisciplinary team members and clients.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of relevant experience is required, candidates with additional backgrounds in community mental health, substance use disorder treatment, or integrated care models will be prioritized. Experience using electronic health records (EHR) systems for documentation and treatment tracking is also advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 75,000 – 100,000 annually, complemented by a sign-on bonus.
