Work Environment

This position is based in our outpatient office setting within a Skilled Nursing Facility in the picturesque community of Virginia Beach, Virginia. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment and resources that facilitate advanced therapeutic interventions. Our team works during regular business hours, Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess each resident's mobility, strength, and functional capabilities, identifying specific goals for rehabilitation.
• Design and implement tailored treatment plans focusing on pain management, movement improvement, and strategies for fall prevention, utilizing evidence-based practices.
• Administer various therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy techniques, tailored exercise routines, and balance training protocols that align with the individual needs of residents.
• Integrate assistive devices and mobility aids into treatment plans, ensuring residents are empowered to achieve maximum independence in daily activities.
• Collaborate effectively with nursing staff, occupational therapists, and caregivers to create a seamless continuum of care that optimizes outcomes for our residents.
• Educate residents and their families on home exercise programs, mobility enhancement techniques, and safety strategies that empower them to maintain their progress.
• Document treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner adhering to SNF regulations and facility standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our facility specializes in caring for the senior population, many of whom experience the complexities of chronic conditions or recovery from surgeries and hospitalizations. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a key role in improving the mobility and functional abilities of older adults, assisting them in their journey toward enhanced health and independence.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or a geriatric rehabilitation environment is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in navigating long-term care regulations and familiarity with rehabilitative practices for elderly individuals.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package. Benefits include:
