Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients' physical conditions and functional abilities to create tailored treatment plans that aim to prevent disability, relieve pain, and enhance muscle function.
• Direct physical therapy interventions, ensuring that treatment approaches are aligned with each patient's unique needs and their goals for therapy.
• Oversee the implementation of care plans by supervising physical therapy assistants, guaranteeing that therapy is conducted safely and effectively.
• Administer various therapeutic modalities, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and state-approved modalities like traction and massage.
• Conduct home evaluations to assess the safety and functionality of the home environment for rehabilitation purposes, making recommendations as necessary to maximize patient independence.
• Prepare and maintain accurate clinical records, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, to ensure clear communication with physicians and other team members.
• Engage in regular participation in case conferences, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to update and review patient care plans.
• Instruct patients and families on the use of therapeutic equipment and techniques, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery.
• Remain accessible to physical therapy assistants during sessions to provide guidance and support as needed.
• Stay current with industry regulations and company policies to ensure compliance and quality of care.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A valid and current PT licensure in the state of Virginia.

• Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license with automobile insurance.
• Excellent communication skills with a strong focus on patient and family engagement.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and expertise.
