Key Responsibilities

• Consult with patients to comprehensively understand their physical conditions, symptoms, and healthcare goals.
• Administer movement assessments to diagnose functional impairments and devise individualized treatment plans promoting optimal recovery.
• Educate patients on therapeutic exercises, ensuring they are performed correctly to maximize their rehabilitation benefits.
• Implement hands-on treatment techniques, including therapeutic stimulation and massage to aid in pain relief and recovery.
• Assist patients with mobility aids, such as wheelchairs or walkers, ensuring safe and effective use in line with their treatment goals.
• Maintain accurate patient records, documenting progress and adjusting treatment plans based on individual needs.
• Provide guidance for in-home exercise regimens and treatment options, ensuring patients and families feel supported outside the clinic.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will include working with a wide variety of patients, including individuals recovering from surgeries, children with developmental delays, and adults managing chronic pain or injuries. You will engage with patients from diverse backgrounds, tailoring your therapeutic approach to their unique circumstances. The ability to build rapport with patients and instill confidence in their recovery journey is essential.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid license to practice physical therapy in the state of Virginia.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems for maintaining patient documentation.
• Adaptability and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a physical therapy setting is required.
• Experience working in outpatient rehabilitation or similar facilities is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices in physical therapy and continuing education in the field.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 plus a comprehensive benefits package designed to enhance your professional and personal well-being.
