Key Responsibilities

• You will assess and create personalized treatment programs for patients referred to you by physicians, tailoring interventions to meet specific recovery goals.
• Your day-to-day work will include implementing therapeutic exercises, techniques, and modalities to enhance patient mobility and alleviate pain.
• Engage in hands-on therapy sessions while tracking patient progress, adjusting treatment plans in real-time based on feedback and results.
• Serve as a vital resource for patients and caregivers, providing education on recovery strategies and home exercise programs to ensure ongoing improvement.
• Document patient responses and modify programs as necessary, fostering a comprehensive understanding of each individual's journey.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes and share best practices.
• Consistently demonstrate exceptional customer service and contribute to a positive clinic atmosphere.
• Meet utilization goals and participate in business development initiatives to promote the clinic's mission in the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position involves working primarily with orthopedic patients, but you will also have opportunities to treat individuals across various demographics, including pediatric and neurologic populations. Our clinic's approach is rooted in evidence-based practices, enabling you to provide targeted care to elevate the rehabilitation experience for athletes, weekend warriors, and everyday individuals alike.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• A minimum of two years of relevant work experience in a physical therapy setting, with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and other clinic software tools to facilitate patient management.
• A demonstrated ability to build rapport with patients, fostering trust and encouraging their involvement in the recovery process.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in utilizing various therapeutic modalities and manual therapy techniques.
• A background in sports medicine or pediatric physical therapy is a plus.
• Strong community engagement skills and a desire to participate in outreach programs that promote health and wellness.
