Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments to identify patient needs and develop personalized treatment plans that align with their individual goals and therapeutic requirements.

• Engage in active listening and provide empathy to help patients articulate their challenges related to trauma and emotional health.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to support patients in managing their emotions and developing coping mechanisms tailored to their specific circumstances.

• Monitor and document progress throughout treatment, adjusting plans and strategies as necessary to reflect any changes in patients’ mental health status.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma-informed care practices and provide resources for additional support, encouraging proactive engagement in their mental health journey.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare providers and community organizations, to coordinate holistic care that meets the diverse needs of our patient population.

• Engage in continuous professional development by completing required continuing education courses to maintain National Certified Counselor certification.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary focus is on working with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma. This includes, but is not limited to, victims of abuse, individuals dealing with the consequences of loss, and patients facing stress-related challenges stemming from both personal and professional environments. You will have the opportunity to significantly impact the lives of these clients by providing them with the tools they need to heal and thrive.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field is required.

• Must possess a valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification to practice in Florida.

• At least three years of experience working with trauma patients, demonstrating an understanding of complex trauma issues and effective intervention techniques.

• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling you to connect with patients and collaborate effectively with other professionals.

Preferred Experience\n

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with experience using electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
