Licensed Mental Health Therapist - Remote Position in Community Health Clinic

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to thoroughly evaluate clients’ mood disorder symptoms, analyzing severity, frequency, and duration during initial and follow-up sessions.
• Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans that are tailored to their unique needs and aspirations, ensuring they feel supported and understood in their therapeutic journey.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), adapting techniques to suit individual client needs.
• Provide educational resources and guidance to patients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies, equipping them for ongoing recovery.
• Regularly monitor client progress, making timely adjustments to treatment plans based on feedback and observed outcomes to promote optimal mental health recovery.
• Work in tandem with psychiatrists and medical professionals to facilitate integrated care, ensuring a cohesive approach that addresses both psychological and physical health.
• Maintain detailed, confidential documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans, adhering closely to legal and ethical standards of practice.
• Engage actively in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development programs, continually enhancing your clinical skills and knowledge in mood disorder treatment.
• Serve as a mental health advocate for your clients, promoting awareness and reducing stigma around mood disorders through community engagement initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with clients experiencing mood disorders, including depression, anxiety disorders, and bipolar disorder. Your expertise will allow you to provide the sensitive and informed care necessary to support these individuals in navigating their mental health challenges.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure in California as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT, with the expectation of maintaining your credentials throughout employment.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, preferably with a specialization in mood disorders.
• Proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities, particularly CBT and DBT, and their application in clinical practice.
• Strong understanding of psychopharmacology and the ability to work collaboratively with psychiatrists to optimize patient care.
• Exceptional communication skills that foster rapport with a diverse client base, demonstrating empathy and respect for individual backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a community health setting, managing a diverse client load and adapting to various client needs.
• Previous involvement in research or continuing education related to mood disorders and innovative treatment approaches.

Compensation and Benefits
