Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments through initial interviews, ensuring thorough documentation from the first consultation to the conclusion of treatment.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health to create tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based techniques and methodologies to address client needs.
\n
• Continuously monitor client progress throughout the treatment plan, making adjustments as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including mental health specialists, physicians, nurses, and social workers, to devise and implement comprehensive intervention plans.

• Follow up with psychiatrists and attending physicians regarding clients who may require hospitalization, maintaining an integrated approach to care.

• Proactively identify and mitigate behaviors that may impede a client’s recovery, offering guidance and support to both clients and their family members.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our center serves a diverse clientele, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing a variety of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. You will be integral in creating a safe, trusting environment where clients feel empowered to explore their emotions and experiences. The focus is on fostering resilience and promoting mental health literacy among clients and their families.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong proficiency in electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to maintain accurate client records.
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to connect with clients and their families empathetically.

• A commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to the ethical standards set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a mental health counseling role, particularly in a community mental health or clinic setting.

• Experience in treating underlying physical and emotional health conditions, as well as addiction disorders.
\n
• In-depth understanding of psychotropic medications and their effects, as prescribed by medical professionals.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary range for this position is competitive, ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
