We are actively seeking a dedicated and qualified Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our integrated care team at Cure Tablet, a prominent community health clinic based in Joliet, Illinois. In this full-time remote role, you will utilize your expertise to support individuals battling co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, contributing significantly to their recovery and holistic well-being.

Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to conduct sessions with clients through teletherapy. You will be part of a supportive and collaborative team that meets frequently for virtual meetings, case discussions, and training sessions. The typical work hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with the potential for some evening shifts on a rotating basis to accommodate client schedules.

Key Responsibilities\n

Your day-to-day responsibilities will be diverse and impactful, including:

• Conducting thorough and comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health conditions alongside their substance use concerns, leading to the identification of co-occurring disorders.

• Collaborating closely with clients to create personalized treatment plans, integrating evidence-based interventions that address both mental health and substance use needs.

• Providing individual and group therapy aimed at developing coping skills, relapse prevention strategies, and emotional regulation techniques essential for recovery.

• Coordinating care with a diverse team of professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists, to deliver integrated, holistic treatment.

• Implementing regular substance use monitoring while utilizing motivational interviewing approaches to support clients in their recovery journey.

• Educating clients and their families on the complex interplay between mental health and substance use disorders, highlighting the importance of treatment adherence.

• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of treatment progress, clinical interventions, and necessary referrals, in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Actively participating in case conferences, team meetings, and professional training opportunities to continually enhance skills in the treatment of co-occurring disorders.

You will primarily work with adults facing the dual challenge of mental health and substance use disorders. By delivering therapeutic interventions tailored to this complex population, you significantly contribute to their journey towards sustainable recovery and improved life quality.

Qualifications\n

To thrive in this role, candidates must hold the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Illinois.

• Proficiency in evidence-based therapies for co-occurring disorders, such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• a strong understanding of the complex relationship between mental health and substance use disorders.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate within an interdisciplinary team dynamic.

Preferred Experience\n

The ideal candidate will possess at least two years of relevant professional experience in a therapeutic setting, particularly with clients dealing with mental health challenges and substance misuse. Experience in community health settings or integrated care environments will be advantageous.
