Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional states through initial consultations and follow-up evaluations.
\n
• Document individual case histories and treatment plans meticulously, ensuring accuracy from assessment to completion of treatment.
\n
• Develop and implement tailored intervention and recovery plans for a diverse range of clients, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging and productive individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
\n
• Regularly monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
\n
• Collaboratively formulate comprehensive intervention strategies with other healthcare professionals to meet diverse client needs.
\n
• Coordinate follow-up care and consultations with psychiatrists and other medical practitioners for clients requiring additional support.
\n
• Identify barriers to recovery and implement preventive measures to enhance the therapeutic experience.
\n
• Provide support to family members and primary caregivers to help them manage the challenges associated with their loved ones' mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will engage with a diverse client base representing various backgrounds, ages, and mental health concerns. This includes individuals coping with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and other mental health disorders. Your efforts will directly impact the lives of clients seeking support and guidance, contributing significantly to their health and personal development.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly to clients and colleagues.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a empathetic approach, fostering a trusting relationship with clients.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years’ experience as a mental health counselor, preferably within a community health setting.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as AVATAR.
\n
• Knowledge and experience working with clients facing underlying physical health conditions, addiction disorders, and major life transitions.
\n
• Understanding of best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• In-depth knowledge of psychotropic medications and their impacts on mental health.
\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this role is competitive, offering between $80,000 and $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications, along with the possibility of a sign-on bonus.
