Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing our Mental Health Therapist the flexibility to serve patients from the comfort of their own homes while leveraging digital tools to facilitate effective therapy sessions. The clinic operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the understanding that some flexibility in scheduling may be required to accommodate patient needs, particularly during crisis situations.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and develop appropriate treatment strategies tailored to individual needs.

• Create and implement personalized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and the empowerment of patients.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate effective healing.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for clients to process trauma experiences and learn coping strategies.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a well-rounded, integrated approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention and ongoing support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patients receive immediate and effective assistance.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources to enhance their understanding and aid in the recovery process.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards, ensuring continuity of care.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge in trauma-informed care.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to offer the most effective care possible.

Our community health clinic serves a diverse population of individuals grappling with the effects of trauma. This includes those struggling with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, LPC/MHSP, Psychologist, or LMFT in the state of Tennessee.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred.
\n
• Proficient understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions effectively.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.
\n
• Ability to remain calm and composed during high-stress situations.
\n
• Proficient with electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications.
\n
• Skilled in working collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is required, candidates boasting additional experience in trauma therapy techniques, particularly with underserved or diverse populations, will be regarded favorably. Familiarity with digital communication platforms for virtual therapy sessions is also advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to USD 104,000 annually.
