This full-time position emphasizes the delivery of specialized mental health care to elderly clients, addressing a broad spectrum of issues such as depression, anxiety, dementia, and adjustment difficulties. Work Environment\n

This role will primarily be performed in a remote setting, allowing for flexibility in work-life balance while maintaining access to our outpatient office when needed for consultations or meetings. As part of our dynamic team, you will work Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments of elderly clients, focusing on the complexities associated with aging.

• Design, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans that take into account cognitive abilities, physical health concerns, and social environments.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions including individual and family therapy, specifically tailored to treat geriatric mental health conditions.
\n
• Collaborate with geriatric psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, utilizing de-escalation and intervention strategies.
\n
• Educate patients and their caregivers regarding mental health issues, treatment choices, and community resources to aid in recovery and health maintenance.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation that adheres to legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Engage in regular team meetings, case consultations, and continual professional development activities.
\n
• Stay current on the latest research, best practices, and advancements in geriatric mental health to enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary focus is the geriatric population, including but not limited to individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, dementia-related disorders, and adjustment challenges related to aging. As a therapist, you will play a key role in understanding these patients' distinct emotional and psychological needs and using this knowledge to inform treatment approaches that foster trust, autonomy, and dignity.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
\n
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, particularly in geriatric mental health.
\n
• Demonstrated knowledge of geriatric psychological disorders and evidence-based treatment strategies.
\n
• Experience in providing both individual and family therapy to elderly individuals.
\n
• Exceptional communication skills with a demonstrated ability to establish rapport and empathize with older adult clients and their families.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant software applications.
\n
• A collaborative mindset to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits\n
