Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your daily tasks will include, but are not limited to:

• Providing trauma-informed counseling services for individuals, couples, and families, discussing past traumas and working towards healing.
\n
• Incorporating Christian counseling principles into sessions for clients who seek a faith-based approach.
\n
• Developing and implementing comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual client needs and therapeutic goals.
\n
• Delivering consulting services assigned from local churches to support community members effectively.
\n
• Actively engaging in outreach and networking opportunities to identify new referral sources and increase your client load.
\n
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary professionals, including social workers and clinical counselors, to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
\n
• Maintaining accurate and timely client records and progress notes using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
\n
• Communicating regularly with the center director about your availability and caseload management.
\n

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work closely with a diverse range of clients, providing essential services to those affected by trauma, anxiety, depression, and relational conflicts. The clinic serves individuals and families from various cultural backgrounds, allowing you to impact their lives positively through empathetic and tailored interventions.

Qualifications\n

\n
• A Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field is required.
\n
• Independently licensed in the District of Columbia (DC) as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is a must.

• A strong understanding and utilization of Biblical counseling techniques.
\n
• A minimum of one year of experience providing trauma-informed counseling.
\n
• Compassionate and ethical approach, with a commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and adhering to industry standards.

Preferred Experience\n

• Dual licensure in Virginia (VA) or Maryland (MD) is highly desired.
\n
• Training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) or a willingness to complete EMDR basic training within the first three months of employment is preferred.

• Familiarity with a variety of therapeutic modalities and interventions to best serve the diverse needs of our clients.
\n
• Strong interpersonal skills to foster trusting relationships with clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time position offers a competitive yearly salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 105,000. In addition to a comprehensive pay structure, we provide the following benefits:
