Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Evaluating patients referred by physicians, assessing their physical condition, and creating individualized treatment plans based on their specific needs and goals.
• Implementing and documenting appropriate therapeutic interventions using evidence-based practices to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Utilizing a range of treatment techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and functional training, to assist patients in their rehabilitation journey.
• Employing outcome measures to track patient progress and adjust treatment regimens as necessary to ensure effective care delivery.
• Providing patient and caregiver education regarding home exercise programs, assistive devices, and lifestyle modifications to support ongoing recovery.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and ensure comprehensive treatment strategies are employed.
• Maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service, fostering rapport to contribute positively to the patient's therapeutic experience.
• Meeting minimum utilization goals and supporting the overall objectives of the clinic.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse population of patients that includes individuals suffering from orthopedic conditions, neurological disorders, pediatric cases, and sports-related injuries. Your expertise will facilitate rehabilitation across a broad spectrum of specialties, allowing you to make substantial impacts on patients' lives and functional abilities.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy to practice in Virginia.
• At least two years of experience in a clinical setting, specifically within orthopedic physical therapy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with patients and interdisciplinary team members.
• Competence in word processing and general computer skills for documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience

While the minimum required experience is two years, candidates with experience in treating various orthopedic conditions or involvement in sports therapy will have an advantage. A strong ability to build and maintain patient relationships and connect positively with the community will also be highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, along with a robust benefits package that includes:
